About the Inside Sales Representative position

An inside sales rep will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales. Responsible for marketing solutions to existing customers and prospects while maintaining a strong sales pipeline. Generating new accounts by means of cold calling, incoming calls, sales blitzes, and sales campaigns.

  • This position is hybrid. It is 2 -3 days in our Roseland, NJ office.
  • This position has the opportunity to participate in the company commission program.

Inside Sales Representative responsibilities are:

  • Finding new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails

  • Provide quotes and answer questions while continuously providing exceptional customer service

  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely
    manner

  • Understand the needs and expectations of the customers and provide relevant solutions

  • Determine customer requirements, needs and expectations in order to recommend the correct
    products and solutions

  • Present quotes, credit, and terms in accordance with Company policy

  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of units

  • Proactively recommend units needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and
    improve transaction profitability

  • Increase sales by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales

  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve
    product related sales and customer satisfaction

  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and work with branch network to
    expedite as needed

  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any
    complaint

  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction

  • Maintain client relationships with the goal of client retention

  • Work within CRM software; Input all customer related information and activity in CRM

  • Maintaining and expanding your database of prospects

  • Assigning qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure

  • Engage with prospects and sales leads through phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings

  • Solicit for new business via telephone, networking and other lead sources

  • Identify new business sales opportunities via telephone, emails, and utilizing various lead sources provided

  • Other duties as assigned

Inside Sales Representative requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience as an Inside Sales Representative/Associate
  • Possess an excellent phone presence
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Able to project and maintain excellent written and verbal communication
  • Great with time management and able to multitask
  • Ability to work in a team environment and balance both team and individual responsibilities
  • Good team player
