The National Account Executive is a sales leader responsible for building and expanding relationships with large, multi-location prospects and customers within their assigned territory. Specializing in trailer and chassis sourcing, this role focuses on assessing customer needs, presenting tailored solutions, and achieving sales quotas across multiple product lines.

As a National Account Executive, you’ll:

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in assigned customer accounts and prospects.
  • Lead tailored solution development efforts, guiding the sales process to meet customer needs and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Meet assigned sales quotas, strategic objectives, and profitability targets across multiple product lines.
  • Become a product expert in all company offerings to effectively present and match solutions to customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including senior executives, regional directors, and account managers, to achieve account performance goals and exceed customer expectations.
  • Mentor and support account managers in team selling efforts by providing leads, communicating strategies, and guiding the sales process.
  • Maintain compliance with CRM (Salesforce) usage and meet all reporting and data entry requirements.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of customers’ businesses to position and sell tailored company solutions confidently.

To be successful you’ll need to have the following experience, skills and abilities:

  • BA/BSc degree in, Business, Marketing or a related field
  • 5 to 10 years of B2B sales experience with 2 to 5 years of national account sales experience,
  • Experience in the transportation or equipment leasing industry is considered a strong asset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including virtual meeting skills.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills - with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • This position requires extensive travel up to 60-75% of the time.
